There is temporary assistance available for renters in Wahkiakum County for utility assistance. For more information, please click the following link ERAP 2.0.
To qualify for this program, applicants must be 62 years of age or older or a disabled citizen meeting criteria of the Wahkiakum PUD Resolution No. 1215 and have $26,160 or less gross annual household income for the previous calendar year.
Senior & Disabled Discount Program Application
To apply for or renew your Senior and/or Disabled Citizen Discount, contact the Community Outreach Coordinator at Wahkiakum Co. Health & Human Services (WCHHS) at 360-795-8630 option 4.
This program provides opportunity for customers to help each other by making voluntary contributions to assist low-income residential customers who are struggling to pay their utility bill.
Qualified households may be eligible for a one-time per calendar year assistance with utilities based upon eligibility and availability of funds.

LIHEAP is a federally funded program that assists low-income households in making home heating more affordable, avoid shutoff of utility services during the winter months, and maintain a warm, safe, and healthy environment for their families. Clients must meet income eligibility guidelines to qualify.
